Hurricane Creek Wilderness Area kayaking

I have hiked this area a few times but have never paddled Hurricane Creek. On this day the water was up high enough get over the rocks but not really high enough for good whitewater. I parked near where Hurricane Creek merges with Big Piney Creek and started paddling upstream. Wherever the current made it impassable or too shallow I carried my kayak through the woods. I eventually made it as far as around where the natural bridge is and turned around and headed downstream. This was the fun part...now going with the current...all my work was being rewarded. A fine trip this was....I just need to paddle the full length of the wilderness area next time.
